Magnificent Magnolia

Maybe I can be

Like that pink flower in the air,

Smiling along with the breeze.

Gently blooming so fair,

Noble and pure its gradient spring.

Such a wonderful thing.

Environmentalism had only begun in the 1960s. But who would have thought that environmentalism was a thing 1400 years ago back in the Middle East? In honor of Arbor Day, Alziynia presents the beauty of environmentalism and its deep roots within Islam.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the prophet of Islam, has encouraged others throughout his life to be more eco-friendly and caring about the environment. He is a noble and pure example of nurturing our environment, setting a perfect example for environmentalism through many of his sayings which reflect values seen in the Quran.

"Whoever plants a tree is rewarded by Allah (ﷻ) as much as the produce grown in that tree.”

(Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Musnad)

"If a Muslim plants a tree or grow grains and a bird, a person or an animal eats from it will be counted as a charity for him.”

(Bukhari, "al-Khars ve'l-Muzara", Muslim, "Musakaat")

In Islam, it is said that one should even plant a tree if the hour (end of the world) is established.

If the Resurrection were established upon one of you while he has in his hand a sapling, then let him plant it.”

(Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Musnad)

Islam is a beautiful faith with deeply rooted values. The wonder of Islam is never-ending. Although it is very intricate, it is quite a simple faith to follow. #Islam #ArborDay
